Looking up video sleeves of late I saw this one for the early monster movie Equinox on Mountain video and thought, hmm, I've seen that boy's posture before.
It's this diver on the Warren Eerie cover #3.
Similar? It's the hand that does it for me.
I wonder which came first?
The girl looks familiar too!
I had to look this up, as comic books are not my field. The first issue of Eerie appeared in September 1965, and Issue 2 in March 1966. This one is numbered Issue 3, and dated May, which is presumably May 1966. So that has to pre-date the video cover by a good few years.
ReplyDeleteThe film Equinox was released in 1970, but I do not know when the video cover art was first used, or if it was used with the actual film.
