Breaking the Mould

I was intrigued by the 9 inch rubber moulds for sale on eBay.

What would you say the figures are?

  1. I see some of the Timmee figures in that mould I also see what appears to be the figures from the Matchbox Adventure 2000 toyline.

  3. There's a 2" MPC figure in there as well.
Interesting moulds - fill from the centre and air escapes to the sides. Though I think they'd need pressure to have the top half fill up completely. Was there any info on who or why?

    1. Hi Paul, this is one of the two American listings. It's the same seller for both. VINTAGE 9" RUBBER TOY MOLD " SCI-FI SPACE MEN MOLDS #2 " LOT JJ | eBay https://share.google/hKSoUpQxas7HTtxkq

    2. That's a huge collection of distinctly different types of moulds, Paul. Some look very professional (the ones in metal) as opposed to those round all-sorts which would be homemade. Bought as a collection apparently. Intriguing.

  4. Dont see any metal ones there.
They all look like silicon to me.
As there's no obvious injection points, only run off channels, I'd say you'd slightly overfill one half with Fast Cast and paint into the other. As they're so small, that, and a shake when the halves are together, should be enough to get a set of complete figures.
