Schuco of Germany made some fabulous amphibious toy vehicles. Here's a few I've seen online.

And the Electric Amphibio in red and boxed.
Whilst googling I saw this too, a lovely sleek red toy car by King, who are new to me. I don't think it's amphibious but it looks grand!

ReplyDeleteAmphibious vehicles always have a special magic about them. But that Kubelwagen is not amphibious. It is the ancestor of the Schwimmwagen, and was the German counterpart to the Allied Jeep.

In the early 70's, at the height of the Dune Buggy craze, I had a magazine which featured a How To sequence on converting a VW beetle chassis into a dune Buggy. (Spoiler, it involved cutting 18 inches of length out of the floor pan, to accommodate the shorter fibreglass body shell!)

"The fun Buggy of the Fatherland"!
The yellow inflatable boat is also Schuco. It was a cable remote control with a wind up motor.
