This picture down is a treasure...18ft painting by Chesley Bonnestell for the sequence from "Destination Moon" when they first opened the rocket's hatch, and gazed at the vista of the Moon.
I took some high resolution pics of that myself. I hope it ends up in a major museum some day. Stars were backlit, but needed new bulbs.
Flash Gordon was another project Bob helped on.

ReplyDeleteYes. A customer of mine who lives in Burbank, California, also knows Bob Burns, and some of his friends. He stated filmmaker, Guillermo del Toro has been helping Bob, and has bought some if not all of his collection.
