  1. If that's all been done with AI, then, sorry, but goodbye animators (real or CG).
You are no longer needed !

  2. Sorry, but I hate these A.I. creations.

  3. I don't like AI much either Scoop, but you can't deny it's impressive in it's capabilities (and they'll only get better, and quickly too)
I'm just pointing out a brutal truth.

  4. I find them creepy and souless, Mish. The whole thing doesn't look natural. As you you say it's bound to improve in time, but it seems to me the end result is simply replacing proper creativity with something cheaper. There's plenty of people on social media using free apps to put up photos of dead celebrities and relatives that 'come to life'! Some people will obviously love the novelty, but in it's present form it's not for me.

    1. I completely understand your points raised here, I was the same about digital recording over analogue, having served in bands for over 30 years and recorded through very different media, I just enjoy the process, and if you're happy with the end result, then who's going to know how you achieved it, 4 track cassette, 16 track desks, 32 track desks on to Super VHS, Digital, my recordings all sound like they were recorded 60 years ago 😀
For me these apps are a tool to show off what I can't physically do at home, I don't have a studio, or a permanent hobby space, most of my custom pieces are done when I get 5 minutes and generally the shorts are shot at arse am when my family are in bed, everything is physical, the model/figure, the background, the lighting is mostly from the tv screen that has a back light.
I'm incredibly happy with all of my previous creations, and pleased as punch Woodsy still shares my stuff, in the end these ai apps are just tools, in the same way we have predictive text and how we use Google photos to edit our work on our phones or tablets, you should see the disasters that have been generated while learning how to use this stuff, ive been through 2 apps free stuff already working out how to make this stuff work, and then trying to lip-sync the vocals on this was almost impossible just using my phone,
I dunno just give it a try, use a photo of your favourite Project Sword toy, find an app that does image to video, you get a 5 second clip, give it some gravitas by slowing it down, Gerry Anderson or Matt Irvine style and Bang!! You made a movie!!
