The fabulous Marine Hawk

I noticed this beautiful box art online.

It's the Marine Hawk kit by MIDORI.

One of four fantastic plastic kits pictured on the box side.

Four more kits are pictured too including Stingray and the Terrafish.

It must look great built up. Anyone got one?

  1. Box Art to die for! Midori was a main manufacturer of fantastic SF kits, one of the first in fact, and this kit probably dates from no later than 1967. Also on the side of the box is the amazing AAB Gamma, aka "Atomic Astro Boat," actually a spaceship from the terrific kaiju eiga, "The X From Outer Space." This kit did have a detachable motor underneath, and could move in water. The glory days of Japan SF! SFZ

    1. That's a gorgeous flying boat Zig, that AAB Gamma, yes. What does eiga mean? Film? I think the kit may have been on MC at sometime or other. Midori stuff looks brilliant. You once did a fabulous post about their Lunar Climbers. Brill!
