Paul's Classic Car Puzzles

Hi,

I picked these two jig-saw puzzles up at a recent Holdsons factory/warehouse sale, here in Auckland. Both are part of the Kevin Walsh Nostalgia Collection.

They are 1000-piece puzzles, measure 27.6 by 19.5 inches (70 by 50 cm), and are Made in China. One end of the box says Kidicraft Ltd, UK; and Distributed by: Holdson Limited, 386 Rosebank Road, Avondale, Auckland 1026, New Zealand, but there is no copyright date.

K33016 Classic Car Club has a pair of 1950s Jaguar XK sports cars, and a 1960s Jaguar E-Type outside an English pub.

K33022 Summer in the Garden has a lone sports car beside a cottage and church.

There are plenty of other puzzles along the same lines, featuring cars, buses, boats, and trains. You are going to need a large table for these beauties.

Nice to see painted illustration is still around!
I'm researching a "typical English Pub" for my puppet film and the one in your Jaguar painting looks very close to my final choice!
I've just realised building it, will be scratching my Joe90 thatched Cottage itch!

Thanks, I thought they were rather nice. Although I think they may have been 'painted' with a computer. The thatched roof reminded me of the Thatched Cottage in the Airfix Trackside railway building series (now made by Dapol).
    Good luck with the film.
