While sorting out a few old comics I came across this old Radio Times from 1980, which I actually kept from the time .
Although I have only a passing interest in modern horror films , I do like some of the old fifties and sixties classics, including The Night of The Demon. So, as it had a great cover painted by Mark Thomas of a faux film poster, I thought I'd hang on to it.

A great bit of memorabilia that Scoop. What a classic cover! Two films I love. NoTDemon is one of the greatest monster films ever made and it was a brave and successful move to show the terrific fire demon early on. The Ghoul is another great flick with an early appearance by John Hurt. Oddly enough the Radio Times poster cover does Demon justice but it's not the best image of The Ghoul they could have painted. The BBC2 season of double bills in 1980 look to be something I probably should have watched but I was in a rock band that year and didn't see much TV!
