Lionel made quite a few versions of the Baby Ruth cars in both the Prewar and Postwar era's; I only have a relatively few.
These are just some of the many candy-related train items out in The Cave (not saying I have a sweet tooth or anything, but....)

A great selection of models. Interesting that Lionel was making Baby Ruth box cars even before WW2.
ReplyDeleteThanx Paul! I believe Baby Ruth was Lionel's first foray into licensed products.
DeleteBeautiful fleet Ed. They're really charming.
ReplyDeleteThanx Woodsy!
DeleteOh, those Tinplate boxcars brought tears to my eyes. So nostalgic. I saved my daddy’s Ives tinplate train set from the 1930s - I’ll have to dig it out and photograph it and send it along to Moonbase. SFZ
ReplyDeleteDo you also have the track and transformer to get them running again?
