Ed's Batmobiles

Woodsy,
Here's a composite shot of my Batmobiles.

  1. Somehow I'm really warming to the idea of lime green windscreens, after seeing that glorious tin toy bootleg Batmobile!

    1. Lewis, that's actually a plastic Batmobile from Azrak-Hamway. The tiny image makes it look tin, but it's not. Unfortunately, to-date, I have no tin Batmobiles, just plastic and diecast.

That is a lot of Batmobiles. A pretty colourful bunch.

    1. These were so much fun to collect. For years I thought Batmobiles were only supposed to be black, and then you start looking at all the comic book iterations and find out Batman had a bit more color in his life!

  3. Bet parking space is an issue of contention in the Batcave. Fantastic collection, Ed. :)

  4. Holy Traffic Jam, Batman! I had no idea there were so many different vehicles from that never-ending franchise! SFZ

    1. Thanx Zigg! There were a lot of comic book variations most of us probably never saw unless we were rabid comic book readers. As well, Mattel has a gazillion in-house designs for its Hot Wheels line. There's a ton of Batmobile variations I still don't have (and don't have the dinero to pursue).

  5. Battastic fleet Ed! Are they from the Eaglemoss part works magazine?

    1. Nope - sorry Woodsy! I am familiar with the Eaglemoss name, but I don't have anything of theirs in the collection. The photos are all from my file folders and compiled into a combined image using the free version of Photo Scape X.

  6. These are awesome, I picked up the 1:24 scale George Barris Batmobile actually dressed as Batman at a comic con, my wife had to help with the purchase, i had no peripheral vision, i was wearing gloves and wearing a massive cape, it was like she was my carer!!

    1. That's how I grew up as well Mish! However, before Adam West there were the comics and they had some cool old school rides for The Bat

One of the Hot Wheels Batmobiles was painted up to match the Mystery Machine van from Scooby Doo - a green Batmoble covered in flowers. My second favourite Batmobile ever, after the 1966 TV car.

    1. I've got one of those on 'watch' in fleaBay now Paul. They don't cost that much on the one hand, on the other hand there's a lot of things pulling at the pocket book right now.

    1. Yes Woodsy they are all mine! Of this group, I did sell off about six of the '70s era type Batmobiles - they just lacked the panache of earlier designs.

    SuperFriends I think
