Keeping to my Star Trek- The Motion Picture theme, here’s what’s inside the Motion Picture Pop-Up book.
First published in February, 1980, and created by Tor Lokvig & Chuck Murphy, who also designed the USS Enterprise and USS Enterprise Bridge punch-out books contains seven double page illustrations based on scenes from the movie.
It’s a fun, innovative book for the younger Star Trek fan (and, i might add, one or two older ones too!) and well worth adding to the Star Trek ephemera collection.
Neat, I've never seen inside one before. I used to have the film brochure, which was nice. Funnily enough, I'm working on TMP prop at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI do like the simple 3-D effect, Kev. Your Guardian of Forever prop looks great.
DeleteThanks very much.
DeleteThat is an amazing book. Pop-up books not having a high survival rate.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it, Paul. I've a couple more pop-up books featuring the original series which I put up at some point.
DeleteThat is a cool book Scoop. I may have to re-think my Star Trek collecting
ReplyDeleteNever too late to re-think your collecting ,Ed ;)
Deletehahaha yup - doesn't hurt to branch out a little does it?
DeleteI still have a mint ST TMP Enterprise punch out model spaceship book!
ReplyDeleteTime to post a few photos from it, Lewis. I'd love to see it.
