Here's Ed and his amazing badges:
Well Woodsy,
I know these probably aren't exactly what you had in mind but it's what I have.
That said, the Roy Rogers badges do tie-in with recent blog posts. Funny, but every time a 'SWORD' badge or other sci-fi type of badge becomes available on fleaBay, I put it on watch and promptly forget about it! Oomph!

And Kevin's framed badge collection for us to drool over!
That is a great collection. My only Wild West badge just said Sheriff, as far as I can recall. Then there was my plastic, glow-in-the-dark Man From UNCLE badge, which featured recently on Moonbase Central. That might have been it for me.
ReplyDeleteYes! I had one “Tin Star” somewhere in the dim, dark past - what a strange memory! SFZ
ReplyDeleteI have some Japanese 50's style stamped tin, sherrif badges still on their card somewhere!
ReplyDeleteLove those tin stars Ed! And Kevin, wow! Are you still after any?
ReplyDeleteThanks. Annoyingly, I'm missing one Blake's 7 badge. Also, I don't know how many of those Space 1999 badges there should be.
DeleteHope you track down that B7 badge Kevin. I'd consult my Denis Nicholson Anderson book re. The 1999 badges but can I find it!!!
DeleteThere's a section on badges here Kev. Maybe of use re. The number? https://catacombs.space1999.net/main/merc/vmmisc.html
DeleteThanks. Yep, I've seen that, it mentions 3 colours and images and the 6 titles but it doesn't say which combinations were produced.
ReplyDeleteA dream collection of childhood badges. I guess TV related badges were some of the first things we could collect as kids, Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteYep Tone, I agree. I had loads as a kid, from everywhere, food shops, Butlins, Clarks, and patches too. Iron on patches. Happy days!
