I've been settling up another display cabinet and it has given me a chance to get stuff out of the loft that has not been on show for years.
These are two model ships that I built well over 30 years ago. One is the Revell kit of HMS Victory, the other is a wooden kit of a fishing schooner.

Beautiful work - model ships are hard! SFZ
ReplyDeleteI agree, gorgeous old ships Kev! They look great! is the ocean a glass table?
ReplyDeleteThanks folks. The ocean this time is a plastic sheet designed to simulate water. I couldn't face the cold to use my garden table!
ReplyDeleteThat plastic oceanic sheet looks really effective Kev. The shot from above is fabulous.
DeleteThanks. Yes, it suits this scale.
DeleteGreat looking models. They have survived their years in storage very well. Nice sea effect.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Kev! I had done a couple of model ship w-a-y back in the day but my heart was into airplanes back then so the ships got sunk!
ReplyDeleteThanks people, much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThe penultimate shot really reminds me of my late Mum's fave TV show, The Onedin Line, Kev! Remember that one?
ReplyDeleteI do, it was like The Brothers but a century earlier and with sailing ships instead of articulated lorries!
