SMART MOVE

Being a long time fan of the spy spoof TV series Get Smart I was pleased to get hold of this AMT kit of Max Smart's Sunbeam Tiger.

I'll do a more in depth look at the car and the series, once it's built.

    1. Like you, Ed I loved Agent 86 and the lovely 99, not forgetting Chief.
I've been on the lookout for one of these kits at a reasonable price for while, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

    2. Over the years he was shown driving a number of sporty little cars. I wonder how many kits were made of those.

    1. You little joker, Woodsy. I can see quite a few smart quips will be included in my write up once it's built. ; D

  4. I'd never really seen Smart's car until I saw this kit. The only time I saw it on the show was when Max and 99 had a baby and they tried to put a fully spy-armed baby Buggy into the trunk.
It didn't go well for the car!

    1. Although the Sunbeam features in the titles of the first two seasons, there is an episode which does showcase the car's spy features, some of which are on the kit . I'll do some screen shots from it, when I do my proper write up.
Btw, did you have the kit, Lewis?

    2. No, I saw the kit in some shop back in the 1960s, but as with so much of my childhood, it was beyond my pocket money. The only 1/25 scale car I had as a kid was the Airfix Monkeemobile,
      - and that was more than enough!

    3. The Monkeemobile was a pretty good kit. The worst for me is the AMT UNCLE Piranha kit. Impossible to get everything to fit correctly!
