I did make one of those Christmas decorations from the show, out of some coat hangers and some tinsel , at school. I think they called them 'advent crowns'. I also entered a competition called 'The Sea We Would Like To See' and came in the top 50, so was given a Blue Peter Competition winner's badge, and my painting was exhibited at the Tokyo Expo, along with the other winner's pictures, that year.
Blue Peter did not make it to New Zealand, which seems a pity. We did have various magazine shows along the same lines, usually with a trio of hosts.
