Hold the Line

 I had one if these as a kid I reckon. A toy payphone.


We had lodgers at our home in the Sixties. They worked for the GPO or GTO, not sure which. Telephones in Preston. One of them, Ray, got me one of these I'm sure.

Did you have a toy phone?

    2. I used the angling receiver for a dish antenna that I glued the a severed neck of a toy guitar for a spaceship

  3. When I was much younger, I remember having a Roy Rogers phone with wonderful graphics made by the Gong Bell Co.. Currently, I still have a Flintstones phone made by Empire of North Carolina.
