I just got my Cave Bear and Saber Toothed Tiger kits last week.If all goes as planned,I'll be building them some snowy Winter day,in front of the picture window.
ReplyDeleteThat is great. I restored a vintage Aurora Saber Tooth Tiger recently, and I have both those Atlantis re-issues on order from a local model shop.
ReplyDeleteLove what Atlantis are doing bringing back these old kits. Crude kits by today's standards but much more fun than todays models and easy for kids to make back then. I reckon the moulds for the Aurora ones I had as a kid in the 70s are probably all gone now but I'm still hoping their F7U Cutlass, F107, and the Monogram Rascal missile are still around and may see the light of day sometime.
ReplyDeleteI just got in the Willy Ley Orbital Rocket, which I look forward to tackling. I had the Monogram kit as a teen and it was also molded in blue white and red, so i didn;t bother to paint it! This time, no cheating! I might spring for the Blue Knight kit, just to see if I can paint a figure these days. I love that Atlantis is bringing back these classic kits for baby boomers. Just wish they had a better logo! SFX
ReplyDeleteI had the Bainbridge model as a child.
