I have a feeling I had a plastic toy mortar as a kid. This modern one jogged a vague memory.
It must have been REMCO or something like that.

The toy ammo would have fit well in an ace case like this modern kids' one. How I would have adored this back then in my garden field outpost with its trestle table and medic kit.
I know my Action Man had a little green ammo case. Remember that?
My GI Joe had an ammo box. The lid opened but nothing went inside (although I stuffed a grenade or two in there). It was tiny, about the size of a matchbox or so.

DeleteI had the AM mortar, bazooka and Rope Grapnel gun. Great fun, especially the Mortar which lobbed solid plastic bombs about six feet in the air! Bill
