GI NURSE: HOME MADE MEDIC

Before embarking on a short family Seaside break I've squeezed in one more home made Action Man outfit. Actually, it's Action Girl and the less well-known GI Nurse.

This is not my best effort but it was fun and Bill's donated Medic Bag and half a crutch were the spark. I'll have a go at the male Medic in September.

So, see what you think. GI Nurse is ready for action ( and traction!) in the field.

Home made items: half a crutch, stethoscope, tights, painted uniform and shoes, paper hat ( thanks to the Missus).

Other props: Original Palitoy Medic Bag and some bottles, toy bed, Playmobil medical stuff, marshmallow bandages, Hermesetas tank, ribena blood, bandages.

  3. Her bedside manner leaves a bit to be desired, her patient has slipped off his trolley!

  4. Not sure you got my 'M.A.S.H.' gag.
I was referencing the 197Os US TV sitcom about the Korean war army medical unit.

    1. Ha ha, yep, get it now Mish! Loved M.A.S.H as a kid, so funny. We've a plant in the garden called Hot Lips. Always reminds of Hot Lips Houlahan!

  6. I had the Action Man medic outfit. My favourite accessory was the clear plasma bottle with the transparent tube and needle, that fitted perfectly into the slot on AM's arm joint!

    1. Yeah, I loved that gizmo too Looey. Hope to make one when I tackle the male Medic next week. I also liked the fold-out stretcher. So cool. I can feel it now!

  7. I imagine the US GI Nurse outfit is quite rare altho' I don't know. Wonder if Palitoy released it too in the UK?

  8. Defo a 4077 theme going on there, Woodsy. Yep, the GI Joe nurse is a very tricky one to find. Examples in original packaging sell for a King's ransom.

  9. Excellent Woodsy! Now, if you could only snag an original G.I. Joe tent to serve as a MASH operating room!
