In the seventies, the South Coast of Devon was the go to place, staying at Dawlish Warren. We would get the little train to Exeter, Paignton and Teignmouth and the seaside shops provided no end of glorious space toys, such as the rack toy with the white Titan rocket and two Matt Mason Crawlers, various friction drive vehicles such as the small green Army Cricket, Telsalda Armoured Cars, hovercraft, submarines and all kinds of rubber monsters such as Slurfies. I saw my first Sword Saturn Rocket in a shop window in Teignmouth too. Dawlish provided an orange lem on a spring launching sucker base, too. Annoyingly, I missed getting an LP rocket on the jumping base too. Itll all be radically different these days, but I still have so many fond memories of the lovely area. Enjoy! Bill
