It's a bug hunt! The poor Xenomorphs have had a very rough ride in recent years, with things going pear-shaped (or should that be egg?) around and after Alien 3. William Gibson did a much better screen treatment for the third installment, which was unfortunately passed over in favour of the very slow prison outing. Alien 4 went completely off the scale and started the rot which seems to have affected succeeding films, with the basic premise and concept becoming increasing distilled and confused. The AvP franchise didn't do it any favours either, with backstories changing more often than Ridley Scott's underwear. The last film, Covenant, bridged the gap between Alien and Prometheus, but left more questions than answers. I'm hoping Romulus will come full circle and come back to the 78 original, although the actual creature itself does have significant diffferences to Gigers original baby. Still, the trailer looks excellent and I shall be watching, although not on the big screen. Bill
