Do you recall your first watch? After several toy ones, mine was a Timex I think.
I had a great one, its second hand was in the form of an Apollo capsule orbiting the moon! I believe it also came in a gift set with the Spacex 2 LEM.

DeleteI love the artwork! I have no clue as to my first watch but given that Timex was ubiquitous and affordable, it was most likely one of theirs.

DeleteMy favourite watch as a kid was a commando/diver style wristwatch. It was silver with fluorescent green cut away face and leather strap. The holes in the face revealed the golden inner gears and the sweep second hand was decorated with a microscopic black and white checkered pattern!

I know what you mean Looey, I got nowhere Googling. All I learnt was that a watch where you can see the workings is called a skeleton watch!
