Here's a photo of a 1965 (I think) Dinky from my collection. My godmother bought my first one in 1968, but this was played with literally to bits.
A couple of years ago I managed to track this identical one down, complete with mint box and leaflet.
We even had a real.one of these at our main fire station. It was absolutely huge!

PS. Yours looks like the American version.
My Mother would make a semi annual trip to Pennsylvania to buy our family clothes at a discount. On one trip she brought this one back with her as a surprise. The play value on it was amazing.
ReplyDeleteJudt like with the real.one, the support struts were really needed, without the it would top over. It had absolutely amazing play value.
