TERRANOVA47's Tin Buses

We've had a wonderful assortment of tin planes, mostly from Ed which prompted me to take some bus pictures after finding a Tin Bus I had forgotten about.

It's the Greyhound version of the MODERN BUS by Black Cat, made in Taiwan. That is only cost $3.69 puts it back in the 1970's and is powered by two C batteries.

Then a Greyhound Bus and a Trailways one, unknown manufacturer, Made in Japan. Unpowered.

Now if like me you remember Tri-ang Minic toys then the London Double Decker, Push n' Go,
star of Hitchcock's movie Lifeboat is here to
hold up the end for British Tin Toys.

Two versions with different ads.

Enjoy,

That is a great collection of buses. The vintage advertising on the sides of the double-deckers are wonderful - all are other Lines Brothers products.

  3. Amazing collection of tin busses! Another subgenre of tin I always loved. I had a few back in the day, but alas, they are all gone. Yours are excellent! Rob

  4. Excellent selection Terra!! The double decker bus is great! Greyhound's were my absolute favorites and yours is sweeeet. I love tin buses (well heck, I love tin) and have had several in the collection. While buses were never a major collecting thrust for me, I still have a couple out in The Cave. .

    1. The two Japanese tin buses and one Tri-ang Double Decker are 'displayed' in that they are part of two over crowded wall mounted shelf units. There are some Wells Brimtoy tin buses there also.
