I picked this lovely 1973 SpeedKing Marauder up today in a shop in Stamford, Lincolnshire. A very picturesque town and a superb car, which needs only a little sprucing up for its next test drive. Is it a car you had readers?
Its a nice find and one of a pair of Can-Am style racers made by Speed Kings around 1974. The other is blue, but can's recall the name of it. Bill
I'll have a look for the blue one.
£5? Is the Speed King range bigger than standard Matchboxes? Au$10 is painfully close to Australian baseline prices for "Antique" toy cars!
Yes Looey, Speed Kings are about twice as big as standard Matchbox.
The King Size, Super King, and Speed King lines were larger than normal Matchbox miniatures. About the same size as Corgi and Dinky models.
Love all of them too!
