That's a lovely paint job! And your photography looks great too! As I'm thinking about miniature landscapes for my own long deferred puppet short, I was looking long and hard at your foliage! Far be it for me to find fault, but the stock plastic trees in the last pic let you down a bit. The greens are way too intense, a black/brown wash and maybe a light grey dry-brush would push them back into the scene and lift that last pick to "on-set still" status!
Thanks. You're absolutely right about the trees, they're aquarium plants and I just shoved them in there for a photo because I wanted a shot in trees. I don't think they'd take paint well but I do need to organise some convincing foliage!
Fab work Kev as always. The finish on the SHADO looks like metal and it would sit well with our beloved Dinky versions for sure. Is the patchy material stuffing from a mattress? It looks familiar!
Thanks. The patchy material is landscaping fabric for model landscapes. It is a mottled pattern bonded onto thick foil so you can shape it and reshape it at will. It was being sold in a garden centre for use with Christmas Village displays!
