  1. Is that a CGI picture? Also the torpedo tubes are wrong.

  2. I imagine there's certainly been some CGI jiggery-pokery on the photo, Yorkie.

There'll be some reason behind the shape of the tubes. As it's die-cast , probably, to accommodate the firing sting-missiles.

  3. Yucko! One of many reasons I hate CGI. That rendition of the magnificent Stingray is ten kinds of wrong! SFZ

    1. Not a big fan of CGI myself, Zigg. It'll be nice to see the finished model for real.

    2. Yeah, and it's only going to get worse. We passed a shop yesterday that still had Christmas decorations up. It had a big screen displaying traditional style festive paintings and they were all AI. This really debases art as a skill.
      Marks on paper, my friends!

    3. Absolutely, Lewis. I find plenty of CGI does date quite quickly, and it side steps so many other skills. Will it eventually kill proper creativity?

  4. Hope they haven't squared off the Sting Missile tubes like that.
That would ruin the whole toy for me.

    1. I reckon that's how it's going to look, Mish.

  5. CGI has its place (although I’m not sure where that is), but it will NEVER replace skills like model-making and creative photography that folks like you do so well, and that continue to astound fans like me. SFZ

    1. I'm with you on that, Zigg, long live real people's creativity!

  6. That's really sad, if true.
    I just won't want one.

  7. If the likes of us aren't that keen on it, I'm not sure just who they're hoping to sell it to?

    1. I suspect there's plenty of people who are happy to buy any new Anderson related product, Kev.

  8. I hadn't noticed the cut off torpedo tubes on the prototype, perhaps because it was all silver metal in colour.
Hope the final thing is restored correctly, as I have the excellent Product Enterprises one and wouldn't want a new less accurate version.
