SLO MOBILE SPACE ALIEN SET

This set is new to me, seen online.

By GLJ toys of Syosset, NY [anyone know that town?] dated 1979.

Its one of four sets.

There's quite a few parts to the set. Anyone got one?

Slow-Slow Action Vehicles, that is really weird. I just looked this up, Syosset is on Long Island, in New York. I have never heard of GLJ Toys.

    1. Long Island eh. Thanks Paul. I still don't know what slo slo action is. Strange.

  2. Not to appear too self serving, but way back in my College days, I made a prototype toy for one of my assignments. It was based on dim memories of the Space Safari set which I only ever saw once, high on a shelf in a dimly lit shop. My toy featured a tractor vehicle which was powered by a cannibalised Slow Slow Vehicle motor.
I still have that toy "mint" in it's box.
    Anyone want to see it?

  3. The Slow motor is based on a larger toy by Ideal, called Mighty Mo. The friction motor uses complex gearing to 'store' kinetic energy in a flywheel, so one push makes the truck roll a long way - albeit slowly. The green figures in the pack are Britains Space Aliens and I suspect the grey ones are more recent replacements too Bill
