Ed's Tin: US Army Vertol 107 Tin-Litho Helicopter (Haji)

At 12" long, this is another big Hunk 'O Tin from the Age of Tin. The rotors rotate via gearing to the friction motor when it's pushed along.

      Tin toys have always had a fascination for me and were the crux of my collecting adventures for quite a few years.

    I had a similar toy as a kid. It wasn't the same design as this. I seem to think my fuselage was squarer than this one. I do distinctly remember the rotors, which were olive drab with three orange stripes on each blade. I remember how they would fold up so they could fit into the box.

      I do have other helo's that are squarish/boxy in appearance and I enjoy them all
