KEVIN'S THUNDERBIRD 2 LANDING

Tried to make a special effect!
Here's my TB2 landing.

  3. Thanks. Yep, TB2 is on perspex legs, with painted flame effect, cotton wool, illuminated from below.

  6. That really looks great, and let's not forget to complement the ship itself! If I were to wrack my brain for any tweak that might add to the effect, I'd wonder about somehow lighting the "flames." But it's hardly necessary, it's a tremendous effect.

  7. Thanks, you're right, lighting the down thrusts would've been good, I just couldn't think of an easy way to do it!

  10. Thanks. TB2 is my scratchbuild. I think I used a Tamiya green spray, it was the closest I could get and heaven knows what the right one is!

    1. Yeah, I know what you mean. I was talking to modeller, David Sisson a while back and he reckons just use what looks right.

  11. Makes sense. You sometimes see the same picture of a model in different places and it looks a different colour.
