We've already started. The Halloween train layout came down last week and at the FIRM insistence of my 9-yr old granddaughter, the Christmas stuff started going up two days ago. She wanted it all done like in one day but I had to put the kabosh on that! I keep telling her I'M not 9 years old anymore!
Never before Dec 1st, and often only two weeks' prior to Christmas. I love the holiday season, but the secret to keeping Christmas a special time of year is scarcity.
I will start in a little over a week. The third Thursday of November is Thanksgiving in the U.S. My employer usually gives us Friday off, hence,a 4 day holiday.I usually take advantage of that time and throw myself headlong into Christmas. And yes,Woodsy,I make a wicked Turkey Dinner. ; p
Never in November (actually, I'm leaning more and more towards never full stop, I get less Christmassy as I get older!).
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Xmas is for kiddies.
