I saw this auction item and thought what a great bin! I had a few bins as a kid, vintage cars mostly. I would have loved this space bin with its amazing graphics.
Top half is an 'interpretation' of a ralph mcquarrie image of a pilot in an early Millenium Falcon in Star Wars a new hope. Bottom one borrow the Space Station from George pal's 1955 Conquest of Space, with what looks like a version of an early seventies Russian Lifting Body, with an engine strapped on. Bill
