BEER IS THE KEY

 

This key ring I saw on Ebay is the same as the Watneys Red Barrel one I had as a kid. Like Terranova47's Red Barrel lorry, this key ring was part of my childhood and a memorable member of my huge key ring collection back in the day.

    I think I may have had one of those! I had the Esso flame chap as well.

    Kev - I used to have an Esso man too - wore it on my parka when i rode my Lambretta.

      Very cool. I think I found mine in the wreck of a burned out car, which weren't uncommon when I was growing up!

    Ha, it's not the where, it's the when. 60's and 70's, loads of waste land from demolished buildings. Massive new development meant building sites everywhere and an absence of a health & safety culture meant these were playgrounds for kids! It was great!
