Dear Woodsy,
In remembrance of the late David McCallum, I photographed the covers of this Finnish U.N.C.L.E. comic book from 1968. The name of the story translates as High Stakes in Singapore.
For me Mr. McCallum was first and foremost Steel alongside Joanna Lumley's Sapphire. The stories terrified the sleep out of me as a teenager. RIP.

ReplyDeleteThank for a look at an item few of us are ever likely to see - a Finnish comic book. Like the items produced in New Zealand, these are things the rest of the world does not even know exist.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul. This issue is the last one of only six published in 1967-68 so quite hard to come by even here. This is the only issue I've found by far.
