FLASH BACK


I love this carded space set I saw on auction last year. Its a Flash Gordon Space Explorers by the US company Shimmel. 

The pieces are mostly Major Matt Mason style miniatures with a couple of Giant type spacemen.

I love the card backing art. The Major Matt Mason style Recono-Jet is fab but I don't know what the satellite is. Do you?

    I think it's loosely based on the first US satellite, Vanguard, but I could be wrong.

      Some of them are silly! I saw a few, but only because I was looking for them!

      It was one of those lucky moments, where I BIN'ed on one in the early hours, our time, and he was at his PC, messaged me that he had another, as I was 'searching seller's other items', so I BIN'ed a lose set with card and blister, mailed him to ask for combined postage, found his mail, and ten minutes later he'd cancelled both sales, bundled all three on a BIN, and they were on their way to me!
