HOLY REPLICA BATMOBILE

Way back in 2015, I visited Fort Perch Rock, situated on the beach at New Brighton, Wallasey which had a replica 1966 Batmobile on show.

On a sunny day, the Fort and it's small neighbouring light house  are quite picturesque.

The Fort  is a former defence installation situated at the mouth of Liverpool Bay, which was built between 1826 and 1829.

Intriguing as the Fort was, it was the Batmobile I'd come to see, and, although the event was very well attended , I did manage to take a few photos and even managed to sit in the driver's seat.

    1. I know you've been talking Batmobiles on the group chat, Ed, so I'm thinking it's time for some Batmotors. ;)

    2. Yeah, it's been quite a while since I paid attention to my Bat-toys but they have cycled around again. Anywho, what's not to love about the classic '66 Batmobile? Doesn't matter if it's the original or not - those lines are just classic!.

  2. Great shots. It's quite an interesting place, there was no batmobile there when I went, sadly.

    1. Thanks Kev. In spite of the lack of a Batmotor (obviously, out crime fighting), it's still a lovely seaside spot.

  5. You know you folks might be interested in the 1959 movie:
    "It started with a Kiss"
It features the original Ford Futura that would eventually be restyled as the Batmobile.

    1. I recall putting some screen grabs of the Lincoln Futura from the movie on here when I did a post on Debbie Reynold's death, Scott.
I read somewhere that George Barris bought the one -off Futura for $1.
