As my recent blog posts on the classic Daleks have so far prove fairly popular, here's a few more photos of Daleks I've taken at previous Smallspace shows.
The Daleks are very cool SF contraptions! I saw the second Dr Who film, Invasion Earth 2150 AD, (in the US, the word Daleks was removed from the main title for some reason) in the theatre, and when the Daleks first appeared, the audience went nuts! SFZ
I see one of the classic Dalek replica makers has even gone so far as to put a temporary neck ring fix, seen on one of the actual TV Dalek props during the Hartnell era, on his copy. Now that's dedication !
Excellent, I do like a Dalek. Some nice colours there. Gold and black suits a dalek.
ReplyDeleteThe gold and black Dalek is one of my favourites too, Kev.

ReplyDeleteThat sounds great, SFZ. I suppose the Daleks would have been pretty much unknown in the U.S. at that point.
DeleteI prefer the classic Daleks, especially the movie versions. Nice pics, Scoop.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony. Yes, I'm with you and much prefer the classic Daleks.

As you well know, Mish, those Dalek builders are a dedicated bunch.
