SF ZIGGURAT'S SCI-FI FLICKR FOTO FEST

Woodsy,

I finally got around to opening a Flickr account, to store photos of my Japan SF models.

I figure it's as good a place as any to save these images for posterity - especially since I no longer own many of these models. I invite Moonbase readers to visit and look around:

The best way to view the pix is through the Albums tab. Comments/suggestions appreciated!

  2. Wow! Thanks for sharing. The packaging is fascinating but your colour combinations are far superior.
My only suggestion is Post More!

  3. A question Zig: How oh how have you ever been able to part with any of them? I would guard this kind of treasure trove till my last breath! Simply stunning!

    1. At some point I realized that these models were gonna go in the trash when I pass, so I was lucky enough to find two toy museums in Japan who wanted some of them as donations. So they went to the best homes possible, at least!

  6. A fantastic set of kits Zig, and beautifully made, to your preferred 'toy style' finish.
Amazing designs. Like Derek Meddings on LSD.
Some of them are bonkers !

    1. Hey, I wouldn’t have made half of these if I didn’t have Moonbase Central to show them off!

    1. The box art is often as beautiful (or more) than the solid model, and comparisons between the two can be, shall we say, revealing?
