I see what you mean about the Porsche. Very similar. The Dinky model was the 602 Armoured Command Car, even though it was clearly not an armoured vehicle. It was numbered in the military vehicle series, not the TV series. The badge on the side is that of the British 6th Armoured Division in WW2.
The Investigator vehicle was made into a Dinky die-cast toy, wasn’t it? I swear I had something that looked quite similar? SFZ

I suppose Dinky were landed with deadstock when the show was shelved. Like the Coast Guard boat they had to repackage and rethink I guess.
