Making Tracks

After a considerable hiatus, The Davies Spacex Shipyards have been busy again and Kevin has expanded the fleet with his interpretation of the series two Apollo Tracker.
A variation on the original Base Patrol Cricket P1, the tracker boasts a slightly wider wheelbase and a concentric radar dish on the rear.
Kev based his creation on the smallHong Kong  army missile tank that often surfaces on ebay.

    Hey! Look what I found!

The source of all the 4 wheel tractor types used in "Thunderbirds!"
Like the video guy, I wondered about this for a long time!
Apparently, so many Thunderbirds vehicles used a 4 wheel tracked wheel base in their models. Apparently, it came from a toy of the Victor's Vigor Tractor.

    Enjoy, Friends!

    1. Just try finding one these days! The other toy which was used extensively was the Topper Tiger Joe Tank.

    2. Yep, you can't get them. Even, a rare, battered one goes for silly money. I managed to get a resin casting of one when I made my studio scale scratchbuild of the Mole.

There was an article on the Vickers Vigor tractor, and its use in Thunderbirds, in one of the British die-cast collecting magazines years ago - perhaps in the 1990s. This would either have been Model Collector or Diecast Collector. I recall reading it at the time.
