These toys are so odd, Space Shuttlers, the First Mechanical Toys in Space by Tomy 1985. Above is Rat Stuff, the pop over mouse.
Strangely, it says Rat Stuff is an exact replica of their first one. Surely that would make Rat Stuff second?
There are three in this range and I have no idea what they do!

I had the space shuttle itself, Tomy made a lot of little clockwork toys, under various brands. The shuttle zipped along as the cargo bay doors opened and a red astronaut popped up. They did a range of neat little R2-D2 inspired robots in the eighties too. Bill
ReplyDeleteI had the jumping mouse "Rat Stuff" years ago. It flipped head-over-heels. Mine was pink with a yellow cheese. Didn't know it had such an unusual pedigree!
