I've always liked Wierd-Ohs and Nutty Mads.
This 1964 Marx Skiddo caught my eye. On auction so I archived it.
The box art gives away its inspiration, a fabulous illustration, which the toy sadly doesn't do it justice looking at the picture here.
Did you have any Marx scooter toys like this?
I do not think I had any Marx toys at all. That Skiddo Scooter is clearly 'inspired' by the Hawk Weird-Ohs. I am sure a better looking model could be kit-bashed with a suitable scooter or motorcycle kit, and some Hawk Weird-Ohs figure parts.
ReplyDeleteYes I know what you mean. I think the box art is much better than the eventual toy here. Somewhere they've lost its jutting mouth and shark teeth!
