DESPERATELY SEEKING DIE-CASTS

I was after old die-casts to touch up at today's Yorkshire boot sales and I found some.

Mostly reds and whites because they spruce up well. A fiver for the lot.

I also picked up this unusual vehicle item, a brass mantle clock in the shape of a trailer. It weighs a ton. Branded PWL on the face, I know nothing else about it. In the 20p box it was.

The rear doors open too,

There were thousands of old die-casts to be honest, too many to stoop down for. Here's some I looked at.

Trains.

Matchbox and Corgi et al.

Cars and trucks.

and a Matchbox shape mushroom from 1981. Cute design!

See any die-casts you would have got?

I am sure I could have found something of interest in there. What a great array of old toys.

  4. All that red and white reminds me of The Monkees and Starsky and Hutch! I suddenly remembered Husky released a Monkeemobile, it would be nice to have alongside the Corgi version I picked up at that magical Torquay toy shop i found on my last visit to the Old Dart. No chance at all of finding one here in Australia.
We're coming to the UK later in the year for a final cottage garden tour, so I'll keep my eyes peeled. Sadly not coming anywhere near Pontefract...
