Golly, that brings back dim memories! I recall similar figures clustered as prizes in a travelling fun fair that used to appear in Old Deer Park in Richmond around Easter. Those striped mouldings are very distinctive. I seem to remember blue stripes on the figures I saw and I think they were Gonks. Might they have been Tivvy figures?
I know what you mean about the stripes Looey. It calls to mind humbugs, everton mints and raspberry ripple ice cream! I'll have to google Gonks but Tivvy I remember. There was a Tivvy club I think.

ReplyDeleteDo any of you Moonbasers remember Tivvy?
.
Tivvy (of Finnish Fauni fame) has been discussed on the Blog a couple of times before. You can find the posts by using Moonbase Search
DeleteOr maybe they were even Topo Gigio?

ReplyDeleteVery familiar figure that I've seen before, but cannot quite pin down.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the cartoon character Angelino of Italian detergent commercials

I see what you mean Arto! I think you are definitely on the right lines!
