UNCLE SAM'S SLAM BAM

I see these old blow moulded toys on Ebay USA a lot. Called Slam Bam, who is he?

  1. Golly, that brings back dim memories! I recall similar figures clustered as prizes in a travelling fun fair that used to appear in Old Deer Park in Richmond around Easter. Those striped mouldings are very distinctive. I seem to remember blue stripes on the figures I saw and I think they were Gonks. Might they have been Tivvy figures?

Do any of you Moonbasers remember Tivvy?

    1. Tivvy (of Finnish Fauni fame) has been discussed on the Blog a couple of times before. You can find the posts by using Moonbase Search

  2. Or maybe they were even Topo Gigio?

  3. I know what you mean about the stripes Looey. It calls to mind humbugs, everton mints and raspberry ripple ice cream! I'll have to google Gonks but Tivvy I remember. There was a Tivvy club I think.

  4. Very familiar figure that I've seen before, but cannot quite pin down.

Reminds me of the cartoon character Angelino of Italian detergent commercials
