SOME MORE AVENGERS MEMORABILIA

Here's some more vintage Avengers TV series memorabilia:

The Avengers jigsaw puzzles: A set of four was manufactured by Thomas, Hope and Sankey exclusively for Woolworth's in 1966.

All four were painted scenes  based on episodes from the first B/W Diana Rigg filmed series.

The first in the series, No Escape looks to be from The Gravediggers, however Mrs Peel is dressed as she was in The Town of  No Return.

The Second puzzle , Castle De'ath is clearly from Castle De'ath with Steed wearing a kilt.

The third puzzle is titled The Basement showing a scene from Death at Bargain Prices.

The fourth puzzle, Archery Practice is inspired by a scene from The Master Minds.

This was also issued in 1966, and used a water jet to eject little plastic corks. The same company apparently issued a small bowler hat to compliment the stick.

Finally, the 10" Emma Peel doll, which was manufactured in Hong Kong, and although the packaging bears no makers name, it's widely believed to be Fairylite.(photo from Vectis)

Note: Other items of memorabilia were licensed but never issued:

A Shooting Round Corners Game from Chad Valley in 1965.

The Avengers Stationary Pad.

A set of View Them Yourself film strips.

An Avengers Bagatelle.

Emma Peel Dress Cut-Out Book.

    1. I've seen the Sword Stick at a couple of Memorabilia fairs, but I've never seen the mega rare Avengers shooting game, Arto. Trust you to have probably the most sought after piece of Avengers merchandise, nice one! ;D

  3. Great collectables Scoop! Love the jigsaws. I've been on the lookout for Avengers toys at car boots for thirty years and never found anything other than the die casts. The Shooting Set, which Arto owns (Way to go Arto!) Has been in my 'sights' all along. I found a car boot Merit Secret Agent boxed set for my trouble once. Merit also did a Saint Shooting Set in the same style.

    1. I seem to recall the Saint shooting game, Woodsy, it had a boat didn't it?

  4. New stuff to me! I haven't Googled it (where's the fun in that?) But while not remembering the Steed Sword Stick, I seem to remember an Adam Adamant version with red polythene signet ring. Does that strike any bells with other Moonbasers? Also, I wonder if it was a reuse of the same moulds which seems likely, given Lone Star's production habits!

    1. I remember the Adam Adamant Sword Stick, Lewis. I probably saw it in Woolworths at the time. I suppose it's an obvious piece of reused merchandise as Adam Adamant Lives was seen as a cut price Avengers.
