DVD Boxed Sets - Does Anyone Still Collect Them?

Here is a gentleman with an extensive collection of DVD boxed sets.

The Dark Shadows set comes in a large, coffin-shaped box, with the contents making up a large picture of Barnabas Collins. Even better is a plastic model of the Mystery Machine van, with Shaggy and Scooby Doo in the cab. The back opens up, revealing the discs.

Here are his TV show sets and part-sets.

A very impressive collection.

Do you still have any?

  1. I have all of my favourite shows on DVD, or blu ray. No streaming or virtual stuff for me. I want to own my things, not rent them!

I agree 100%. DVDs are something you can hold in your hand, and it is yours. Not just an image on a computer screen, that belongs to someone else, and which they control. I love my DVD collection, but few shops stock them any more, and the selection grows ever less.

  3. I remember seeing a large tin Terminator box set at car boots. It may even have been a Video box set. I often wished I'd bought it.
