As a kid in the '70s, I had a 1/32 scale Airfix Alvis Stalwart, Scoop. Not a model kit, but pre-built and ready for carpet combat. I always liked the look and design.
I bought a plastic friction drive one a few years ago, that I converted into an Anderson style vehicle. It was in military green before I changed it. The chap in the shop who sold it to me said he had a real one for sale if I was interested. I decided that perhaps, I'd better not!

We had one of those Matchbox Stalwarts! Same colors and stickers too.

DeleteI checked what it does to the gallon -4.5 mpg! The tank takes 90 gallons!
