Here is another recent Hot Wheels find, from the 2022 Screen Time series of film and TV models, although the copyright date on the card is 2021. Model number 5 of 10 in the set is the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, from Star Trek. This model was first released in 2013, and it has re-appeared several times since.
Unlike most Hot Wheels models, it does not have wheels, and comes with a small stand in the shape of the Star Trek Federation logo, as seen on the uniforms of the crew. The main saucer and central pod are die-cast metal, with the engine pods in plastic. There is a fair amount of cast-in detail, given the small size of the model.
The main colour is pale grey or off-white, with detailing in medium grey. Name and number appear in black on the main saucer, and on the engine pods. The front of the central pod is detailed with black, white, and two shades of blue. This time around, the stand is dark blue rather than the usual black.
The card has the purple HW Screen Time stripe on the lower right side, with the model name at the bottom. The Star Trek name appears in the lower left hand corner of the card, rather than in the standard upper left corner.
This is the long card version; there is also a short card type, which has the artwork rearranged slightly. I do not have one of these yet, but it will likely turn up eventually.

ReplyDeleteI've one of this Enterprise. The plastic nacelles share the same issue as the old Micro Machines toys. They are warped and the pylons are not rigid enough to keep them straight. Mine also does not sit securely on the stand. The diecast is too much for such a tiny contact point and it falls off. I also have the USS Vengeance which suffers from the same stand issues but slightly less nacelle drooping.
