Regarding the movie The Fearless Vampire Killers, not sure if I have seen this one or not, but I did find this totally bonkers animated clip on You Tube.
In it, Leo the MGM Lion grows a set of Vampire teeth.

Horror movies on TV were rare in NZ when I was growing up, so I did not get to see many. Certainly none of the old Universal classics, so I was 'grown up' before I discovered the fun of such films.

I was twelve or maybe thirteen when I left the UK to live in Ausyralia. I'd remembered seeing trailers for Hammer fikms at the cinema- X Certificate!!! No one under 18 admitted! How could they even show me a trailer?
ReplyDeleteImagine how surprised I was to move to Sydney and see the dreaded The Flesh Eaters on late night TV!
How could they even show that on TV, where a kid like me could just watch it?
Of course, it was a really crummy film, nothing like the poster which had sterilized me with fear!
Was Oz TV less censored then Looey back then?
