Drac's Plaque

This is the blue plaque outside the erstwhile residence of one Bram Stoker in Whitby,  East Yorkshire.

  1. We haven't been to Whitby yet, Woodsy. But the Bram Stoker and gothic connection does interest me. I'm sure one day we'll up stakes and visit :)

    1. ha ha, up stakes! Like it Tone. You will feel the gothic vibe straight away but it can get busy. The Yorkshire Moors nudging up against the town are surreally atmospheric too. Watch out for the Hole of Horcum!

  2. I made a delivery to the veterinary research station there during the Foot & Mouth epidemic, nearly died in a blizzard up on the moors, then descended into bright sunshine! Spent the rest of the week stinking of Jayes Fluid as they sprayed the whole vehicle! Whitby is the devils place!

    1. Well, that's the strangest reason I've ever heard for visiting Whitby Hugh! ha ha. Those Moors can be tricky. Beware the Moors!
